Week 6

Hi!

On Monday one of our coaches, Faysal Hasan, told us about photographing. He told us about his career as a photographer and what kind of photos he takes. It was interesting to listen to Faysal as he told what to do if you want to start photographing as a hobby. He also told us how expensive it is to start photographing, it can cost up to 10 000€!

He is such a good photographer! It’s amazing how someone can take that kind of pictures!

Later that day Pekka Tuominen from DigiPeople Studio talked to us about video strategy. One of the things he made clear, that I never had thought of before, was that at the moment videos are the best way to affect people. He also said that the videos make it possible to serve customers better. These things are so true! Nowadays customers can see videos on some company’s website about how to for example install something to your phone. This makes customers more satisfied with the company and the product.

On Thursday we had Network to get work-day at Laurea Leppävaara. I went to listen to two lectures. First of them was a story about Elina Kivisalo’s career as a project manager. This was so inspiring!

The second lecture was about how to find hidden jobs, by Hannu Solanne. This lecture was very useful and I learned and understood a lot of new facts about this topic. Solanne was also really fun as a lecturer.

Next week we will not have any lectures, but we will meet with our team on Monday to work with a Content Marketing task we got on last Monday.
